How to Make Stuffed Peppers: Recipe and Temperature Guidelines

LET'S START

Choose the Right Peppers: Select firm, evenly-shaped bell peppers with a flat bottom for stability.

Prep the Peppers: Slice off the tops, remove seeds, and blanch them for 3 minutes to soften.

Create a Filling: Mix cooked rice, ground meat, onions, and your choice of seasonings.

Sauté the Filling: Cook the filling until the meat is browned and the onions are translucent.

Combine with Sauce: Blend crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, and seasonings for a flavorful sauce.

Stuff the Peppers: Fill each blanched pepper with your meat and rice mixture.

Bake Perfectly: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 35-40 minutes. Add Cheese: Top with shredded cheese during the last 10 minutes of baking.
